December 2025: 300 employees laid off. Zebra Technologies is winding down its autonomous mobile robot business, acquired via Fetch Robotics in 2021, with most staff expected to depart by year’s end. Amazon is cutting 84 jobs in Seattle and Bellevue, affecting engineering, recruiting, software development, and product management roles, with terminations scheduled from February 2 through February 23, 2026. Lusha is reducing its workforce by 8%, about 24 employees, as part of a restructuring focused on growth areas. Tenstorrent has cut 7.5% of its staff, reducing headcount to around 1,000, while shifting focus from enterprise to individual developers. Payoneer is letting go of about 30 employees in Israel and a similar number overseas, totaling roughly 6% of its global workforce. November 2025: 8,932 employees laid off. Intel eliminated 59 Bay Area jobs effective November 30. HP plans to cut 4,000 to 6,000 jobs worldwide by 2028 to streamline operations and leverage AI. Apple is reducing several sales positions as it streamlines business-to-business sales. Monarch Tractor may lay off over 100 workers or shut down entirely. Playtika announced plans to cut 20% of its workforce, 700 to 800 employees, in its fifth round since 2022. Pipe laid off about 200 employees, roughly half its workforce. Synopsys plans to cut 10% of its staff, about 2,000 employees, following its Ansys acquisition. Deepwatch laid off 60 to 80 employees, citing AI as a factor. Axonius cut roughly 10% of its staff, about 100 of 900 workers. MyBambu is closing operations, laying off all 141 employees. Hewlett-Packard removed 52 positions at its San Jose campus.
October 2025: 18,510 employees laid off. Amazon announced an overall reduction of approximately 14,000 corporate roles, with 660 cuts in New York City offices. Rivian cut 600 jobs, about 4% of its workforce. Meta laid off approximately 600 employees in AI infrastructure units. Applied Materials plans to cut 4% of its workforce, about 1,400 jobs. Handshake laid off around 100 employees, 15% of its U.S. workforce. Smartsheet laid off over 120 employees amid a leadership transition. Google cut over 100 design roles in its cloud division. Paycom is laying off over 500 employees due to AI and automation improvements.
September 2025: 4,152 employees laid off. Just Eat will eliminate around 450 jobs as part of a cost review. Fiverr plans to cut around 250 jobs, 30% of its workforce, to become AI-focused. ZipRecruiter is closing its Tel Aviv development center, cutting about 80 jobs. GupShup laid off at least 100 employees. xAI cut roughly 500 jobs, a third of its data annotation team. Rivian laid off about 200 workers, 1.5% of its staff. Oracle cut 101 jobs in Seattle and 254 in San Francisco. Salesforce trimmed 262 jobs at its San Francisco headquarters.
August 2025: 6,302 employees laid off. Cisco will eliminate 221 positions in Milpitas and San Francisco. Restaurant365 laid off about 100 employees, 9% of its workforce. Oracle set to cut 101 jobs in Santa Clara and 161 in Seattle. F5 cut 106 positions in Seattle and Liberty Lake. Peloton will cut 6% of its workforce. Kaltura is cutting 10% of its staff, about 70 employees. Yotpo is laying off about 200 employees, 34% of its global workforce. Windsurf laid off 30 employees and offered buyouts to 200 more. Wondery is cutting 100 jobs.
July 2025: 16,327 employees laid off. Atlassian cut 150 roles in customer service. Consensys cut about 7% of its workforce, 47 employees. Zeen shut down operations. Scale AI laid off around 200 employees and severed ties with 500 contractors. Lenovo plans to cut more than 100 U.S. jobs. Intel is reportedly planning to lay off nearly 2,400 workers in Oregon. Indeed and Glassdoor plan to eliminate approximately 1,300 jobs combined. Eigen Lab laid off 29 employees. Microsoft will cut 9,000 employees. ByteDance laid off 65 employees in Bellevue.
June 2025: 1,606 employees laid off. TomTom cut 300 jobs, 10% of its workforce. Rivian reduced headcount by approximately 140 employees. Bumble will cut approximately 240 jobs, 30% of its workforce. Klue laid off 85 employees, 40% of its workforce. Google downsized its smart TV division by 25%. Intel plans to lay off 15% to 20% of workers in its Intel Foundry division. Playtika let go of around 90 employees. Airtime laid off around 25 employees. Microsoft laid off more employees after earlier cuts.
May 2025: 10,397 employees laid off. Hims & Hers plans to downsize by letting go of 68 employees. Amazon laid off around 100 employees from its devices and services division. Microsoft cut over 6,500 jobs. Chegg plans to let go of 248 employees. Match is reducing its workforce by 13%. CrowdStrike is laying off 5% of its global workforce, about 500 people.
